What the Avéli procedure involves?
- It’s done in-office under local anesthesia.
- The provider makes tiny incisions / small entry points (often needle holes) to insert a hand-held device under the skin. The device has a light and a retractable blade/hook mechanism.
- Once the device is under the skin, the practitioner identifies which septa are causing the dimples. Then the septa are severed (cut or released) to relieve the pulling effect. There is real-time confirmation in many cases that the specific band has been released.
